It is a co-operative effort between World Emergency Relief and the Malawi Project, with drugs coming from: Italy, Cyprus, India, China, Ireland, and the Netherlands. The shipment was recently sent to the Namikango Mission in southern Malawi where Wilson Tembo and staff members from the Mission unloaded and prepared the medicines for distribution to hospitals in various regions of the nation. Medical professions from all three regions of the nation will participate in determining the locations that are in most need of the medicine. Further stories will appear in coming weeks.
To assist in getting additional critically needed supplies to the government hospitals in Malawi you can earmark your contribution MEDICAL and send it to the Malawi Project’s Treasurer or go online and make an electronic contribution.
