For a nation where the average person, (1) walks 10 miles a day, (2) will seldom ride in a motorized vehicle, (3) and has little or no expectation of ever owning a galamoto (car), having a bicycle changes one’s life for the better, makes one the pride of the village, and offers a new array of opportunity. The person who owns a bicycle has a means of transportation few can imagine, and now can offer services to the community that others cannot.
