Lebanon, Indiana … Earlier this year the 1st Annual Malawi Project Golf Scramble finished on a high note. The event was deemed so successful, the planning for the 2nd Annual Scramble has already begun. While many first-time fund-raising events fall short of their goals, this outing held at the Wood Wind Golf Club in Westfield, Indiana has already proved to be profitable. Our thanks to Event Sponsor Copper Moon Coffee Company of Lafayette, Indiana; Lunch Sponsors Northside Radiology of Indianapolis, and Abbe House Bed and Breakfast of Heber Springs, Arkansas; And multiple Hole Sponsors Edward Jones Financial Advisors Kristen Miller and her family, and Brett Bayston and his family from Lebanon, Indiana, as well as dozens of golfers and supporters for making this a success. The funds received from the event will help send medical, educational and agricultural supplies to one of the poorest regions in the world.
The outing, which was planned several months ahead, was accomplished through the efforts of Jim Sigo, John Wilkins, Tony Zancanaro, and Jim Messenger from the North Central Church of Christ in Indianapolis. Messenger is the Treasurer for the Malawi Project.
