For the past several months the goal of the Malawi Project has been to assist Action for Progress, our Malawi counterpart organization, to complete registration, land purchase and the construction of a new distribution hub. Thanks to you this goal has been met.
During that same period of time two 40-foot shipping containers have arrived on sight, one filled with badly needed food to assist victims of the recent cyclone that came inland and affected southern Malawi, a second with mobility units, medical supplies, a large amount of hand tools, girls dresses, and other supplies for free distribution to the needy. Two weeks ago another 40-foot container of mobility units and other supplies left northern Indiana scheduled to reach Malawi at the end of the year.
Currently an additional three containers of supplies have backed up in warehouses in Lebanon, Indiana awaiting funding for shipping. You helped us reach the goal of construction of the building.
